eBay is an online marketplace with over 185 million users and 2 billion live listings on the site. Being one of the first and largest rightfully in their arena, eBay is your close reliable friend with a mission to create relationships that go beyond commerce. During my time at FEED/DEPT®, I have worked on numerous campaigns that live on eBay’s main website, CRM communications, and social media channels.

Onsite Campaigns

Being a champion of eBay’s brand guidelines I lead in the creation of the visual assets that hero eBay.com aiming to highlight products in a meaningful, consistent, and authentic way - in return reflecting the brand traits of real, spirited, smart, and dependable. Onsite campaigns feature a suite of dynamic banners displayed throughout the whole website and eBay’s mobile application.

Landing Pages

Web design is essential to the user experience, and eBay’s landing pages are responsive, concise, and data-driven while being appealing and organized in a thoughtful manner. Shown is an informative sneaker seller page enlisting the benefits and authentic process of selling on eBay versus competitors, and an eBay Motors redesign a hub for all motors enthusiasts that incorporated control and A/B testing.

Email Campaigns

Emails are a common and effective channel for eBay’s communications. Depending on the intensity of brand expression there are 3 email tiers: Marketing, Transactional, and Account which is shown in the mock. Web accessibility is important to eBay’s Design Systems, and well integrated into our practice as I was responsible to help maintain our integrity in design.

Retail Moments

We create a full suite of onsite and offsite banners to celebrate and honour special moments such as Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and the Holidays. Storytelling is extremely important for Retail Moment campaigns, thus combining the creative and strategy teams to complete a holistic experience where I was responsible to explore design from conception to execution.

Social Creative

eBay uses their social channels to further reach and engage their audience that explores using their brand elements uniquely to each communication. Designing for social allowed for design exploration that typically isn’t seen onsite, and furthering the storytelling aspects that eBay entrusts into our designs.
